Around Dublin

Classes haven't started yet, so I've just been taking the opportunity to explore around Dublin with some of the other Cedarville students. The study abroad students start a 2 week class on Monday, where we learn about Irish history, culture, and politics. At the end of the 2 weeks, we take a weekend field trip to northern Ireland, which should be fun...hopefully the weather is nice :)

While we've been exploring on our own (pictures below), it has been absolutely FREEZING. As mentioned in my last post, the recent weather has been quite unusual for Ireland...all the grade schools have completely cancelled classes until next Thursday, and many people have stayed indoors and don't know how to handle the snow/ice. So not only do I hope it warms up because I can't stand being cold, but also so I get a more accurate view of Dublin!

Sadly it's a bit blurry, but a shot of Dublin at night

Dinner at the pub...drinking water from Guinness and Heineken glasses. It's how we roll :)

A view of the coast at Bray, which is just south of Dublin, from the Dart (one of Dublin's train systems that I use multiple times each day)
